Btw..this sign was painted by Franke Hawkins, the same artist that recently painted the controversial "mural" on the side of a barn at one of the exits to Bellows Falls. The state DOT argued that it violated the VT anti-billboard law and said they had to take it down by June 1. However the rebellious downtown development group was successful in getting an amendment passed to allow it. This made national news.
